Orange River Hematite included Quartz Cluster

Hematite in Quartz Cluster from the Lower Orange River Region in South Africa

This cluster of hematite included quartz crystal was mined in 2021 in the Lower Orange River region of South Africa.  The piece features orange/red hematite included crystals with some dark red hematite inclusions towards the base of the pieces forming some phantom crystals.  The larger crystals are relatively undamaged but on one side of the piece some crystals had broken off.

All photographs are taken in a light studio so colours may vary from the actual piece.  We do try and make the images as accurate as possible.
