A smaller piece, this specimen is of Chrysocolla coated with druzy quartz with Malachite inclusion in the piece. The piece has nice vibrant colours and great contrast makes this piece a great display piece. The colours, formations and mineralisation on the piece is outstanding.
This piece is from a small recent pocket at the Tenke Fungurume Mine, a fairly new open pit mine that started operation in 2009 after construction started in 2006. It is one of the largest producers of copper and cobalt
