Formed in ancient oceans more than 110 million years ago, this stunning White Spine Ammonite fossil is a remarkable survivor from the Early Cretaceous Period. These extinct marine cephalopods, known as Cleoniceras, once thrived in the warm tropical seas surrounding prehistoric Madagascar while dinosaurs ruled the continents above.

This specimen displays the elegant spiral shell and deeply defined ribbed chambers that have made ammonites one of the most sought-after fossils in the world. Its soft sandy tones and naturally preserved mineral textures reveal millions of years of geological transformation, where ancient shell material was gradually replaced by minerals deep beneath the seabed.

Recovered near Sakaraha in Madagascar, a region celebrated for producing beautifully preserved ammonites, this fossil captures a genuine moment in Earth’s distant history. Every chamber and curve reflects the incredible natural processes that preserved this creature through countless ages.
