Journey back to a time when vast tropical seas covered much of the Earth and enormous reptiles ruled the oceans. This authentic White Spine Ammonite fossil from Madagascar once belonged to Cleoniceras, an extinct marine cephalopod that lived approximately 110 million years ago during the Early Cretaceous Period.

Its beautifully coiled spiral shell and finely detailed ribbed chambers have been preserved through millions of years of natural fossilisation. The warm earthy tones and pale calcified textures seen throughout the fossil are the result of ancient minerals slowly replacing the original shell deep beneath prehistoric seabeds. Every line, chamber, and curve tells a story from a world long vanished.

Collected near Sakaraha in Madagascar, one of the world’s most famous ammonite-producing regions, this fossil is a genuine piece of ancient marine history. No two specimens are ever exactly alike, making each ammonite a unique natural artwork shaped by time itself.
