This vibrant specimen of Chrysocolla coated with druzy quartz has amazing colour contrast. It is on copper ore which add to the contrast. The colour, forms and mineralisation on the piece is outstanding.
This piece is from a small recent pocket at the Tenke Fungurume Mine, a fairly new open pit mine that started operation in 2009 after construction started in 2006. It is one of the largest producers of copper and cobalt
