This specimen is of Chrysocolla coated with druzy quartz with formations of Malachite on top of the quartz.  It sits on matrix with mineralisation all through the piece.  The piece is vibrant and colours and great contrast makes this piece special.  The colours, formations and mineralisation on the piece is outstanding.

This piece is from a small recent pocket at the Tenke Fungurume Mine, a fairly new open pit mine that started operation in 2009 after construction started in 2006. It is one of the largest producers of copper and cobalt
